River Island is a british fashio brand which designs basically for a young, people who have an interest about the newest and hottest trends. River Island have over 250 shops, mostly around the U.K.

The company River Island was set up in 1948 by Bernard Lewis, operating from a small shop in London trading as Lewis Separates. However, it has since gone through several name changes (Chelsea Girl, Concept Man) before becoming River Island in 1989.

The group is a family concern, led by entrepreneur and chairman Bernard Lewis. River Island has grown up from the familiar business to a one of the most extended and best knowns fashion comerces in the UK.
