Topshop is THE fashion destination on the British high street. Selling an average of 30 pairs of knickers a minute, 6,000 pairs of jeans a day and 35,000 pairs of shoes every week, it's an unrivalled, iconic brand. Blending cutting edge style with purse-friendly prices, Topshop attracts women from their teens to the 40s searching for a weekly fashion fix.

Topshop was established in 1964 within a Sheffield department store called Peter Robinson, however, a year later, the same store allocated Topshop space in the basement of its Oxford Circus store in London. In 1974, Topshop was taken out of Peter Robinson and set up as a standalone retailer.

Its primary sales come from a range of products including clothing and fashion accessories, and is mainly known for its women's clothing, with Topman having been created in the late 1970s to cater for male customers. In the 1960s, Topshop was considered to be deeply unfashionable, however, the chain has reinvented itself as a fashionable brand in recent years. This reinvention has included the introduction of a 'Unique' line of clothes, a more upmarket selection of fashion, and a regular show at London Fashion Week, the only high street brand to do so.

The chain has also offered a number of collections designed by celebrities including supermodel Kate Moss and the artist Stella Vine.Topshop's current trends are 'Glory Days', 'Memphis', 'Work It', and 'Circus', alongside luxury garments and designer affiliations under 'The Boutique' and a collection by supermodel Kate Moss.
