Trendtation is a social utility where you are in fashion. Share your opinions and photos with other users, get to know brands and new stores, get inspired, and discover what’s being worn on the streets.
This is the place where the people on the streets are the ones starring in the brand name catalogues. Here you’ll find people like you who share the same interest in fashion: Guys and girls who are natural style icons, young independent designers, stylists, photographers and people who know what they’re talking about. If you like fashion, Trendtation is the place for you.
Trendtation’s focus of interest is street style, so the photos on your profile should showcase your own looks. Don’t worry if you think you don’t know how to pose or if you're not a master photographer, the important thing is to show your clothing and share your style with the rest of the community.
We accept photos where you appear with other people or where others are shown. We also accept photos of your accessories and other items that aren’t strictly clothing, however, they are not the focus of Trendtation and may not gain as much visibility as your looks.
We recommend that you read our Legal terms, since in them we explain the whole set of rules that govern the service Trendtation offers. However, we understand that the legal vocabulary used in that section can set most people back, so we've tried to synthesize and summarize it for you. The basic rules are:
As we've already mentioned, the common characteristic we share is that we love trends and we want everyone interested in them as well to enjoy the page. Therefore, if you breach these basic rules, we will have to close your account.
In Trendtation your privacy is as important to us as it is for you. For that reason, only you can decide what data you want your friends to see on your profile. You can make the fields of personal information private in your Settings, under "Privacy".
Yes! Creating a Trendtation account is free.
If you forgot your password to enter Trendtation, go to the home page and access the link "Forgot your password?". Enter your email. We will automatically send you an email with a link that allows you to change your password.
While browsing Trendtation change your password whenever you want in your Settings, in the "New Password " section.
To upload photos on Trendtation access the option "Post a look" in the menu next to your settings. You can put what clothes, accessories or products show up and what brand each product is and also choose the colors of each product. Finally, you can add a caption to the photo and describe your outfit a little more.
Sure! As many times as you want. Go to the photo you want to edit and on the right you’ll see the "Edit Photo" option. By clicking on this, you can edit and change items, brands, colours, information... Anything you want.
You don’t have to do anything special to have your photo on the Trendtation Cover, just make your profile visible to "Everyone" (you can change the visibility of your content in "Settings"). Apart from this requirement, there are no strictly marked guidelines, but your photo has a better chance of making the cover if:
If there are items you have tagged in your photos but they do not appear in your brand's catalogue, perhaps it is because they have not passed the validation criteria. With brands we must have a minimum standard of quality regarding content, so if the photo isn't of good quality, the item is not seen clearly or only a small part of it can be seen, it cannot be included in a brand name catalogue. Neither pictures showing models or celebrities can appear, nor loose clothing, since it's preferable that these items compose a look, therefore they must be worn.
A lot! If you do not like to show yourself, or you feel a little embarrassed to publish your pictures but would like to participate and bring new things to the community, on Trendtation there is much to do! Aside from getting inspired by the most stylish people, you can visit the Groups section, where you can share your knowledge about fashion and everything that interests you. You will surely find a channel to express yourself in Trendtation’s Groups section and even create your own groups with photos, topics, questions and surveys.
You can delete any photos or comments made by you whenever you want. You'll see that next to each piece of content you have the option of deleting it. Remember that all content associated with your photo or comment will also disappear.
If you want to remove content created by someone else that you feel is offensive, insulting or hurtful to you or other members of Trendtation instead, please contact us and we'll delete it if we consider it inappropriate. If you want to delete any content in Groups section, find the "Report" button next to each contribution, whether it be photo or text. We will automatically receive an e-mail (completely confidential) with your complaint and we will remove it if we consider that is hurtful or offensive.
If you want to be someone's friend, simply access his or her profile and select "Become friends". As soon as the user confirms your friendship request, that user will appear on your friends list. If you see this user is not in your friends list nor in your home feeds, it means that user has rejected your request, ignored it or still has not seen your request.
If you want to follow someone on Trendtation, simply access his / her profile and select "Follow him / her." Becoming a follower of someone does not imply any confirmation of your request from the other person. You'll be their fan automatically and you will see in your home feeds the photos that he or she is posting. You will only see in your home feeds his / her photos (not his / her activity), but you can enter his / her profile whenever you want. On the contrary, this person will not see any of those two things unless he / she accesses your profile from his or her "followers" section.
Of course. If a user is annoying or offensive you have the option to block that user in your Privacy Settings. Blocked users cannot comment your profile and vote your photos or receive any notification of your activity in their home. It is not an irreversible process, you can unlock them at any time. You decide the comments you want to appear in your photos or profile, if you consider them inappropriate feel free to delete them.
Log in to your Trendtation account and access the "Account Settings" in your Settings page. Get the option "Delete Account." If you are convinced you want to delete your Trendtation user account and everything that goes with it, click on "Delete my account" and confirm your decision once again.
Account cancellation is completely irreversible and it will erase all your data (including your photos, contacts, profile information, etc). If you're completely sure you want to permanently leave Trendtation, go ahead! But we would like you to know that for us it is an honour to have you in Trendtation and you will find the door open to come back at anytime.
