The Tip

Hi! Today´s video is about how to dress for a job interview. Here go few tips although there are
many possible ways to go.

Besides the clothes, it is important to wear a subtle make up and a tidy hairdo. Try not to overdo your eyes or paint your nails black. ;) Spray some perfume but try not to kill the interviewer with an intense smell.

LOOK #1

Keep in mind that the interviewer is judging everything that you do or wear. That is why neutrals work very good. Black is always a good choice. A length to the knee or a little shorter is fine.  I wouldn't wear a miniskirt. Choose some shoes that you feel comfortable in. Try to avoid very high heels or too fashionable shoes. Go for a basic and neutral pair of shoes. I chose a simple necklace. And a jacket. It looks a little boring but keep in mind that you want to be remembered because you were smart not because you made a fashion statement at the office. Bring a notebook with you. It helps building the right image. If you are pursuing  a more creative job, you can make a slight change to this look. I just gave more personality to the look.

LOOK #2

Now some tips on what top to wear. Keep in mind that the interviewer has seen many candidates and to identify people, he/she can start putting nicknames like: the one full of stripes or the one w/ the flashy sweater… So, no message t-shirts! So I have decided to wear this subtle top. I've chosen dark pants. These brogues. It looks like a suit since it is hard to tell that these are black jeans.

LOOK #3

One thing not to forget is to iron your clothes and make sure they are clean. I've chosen this structured dress that looks more formal. It is not a tight dress either. Other dresses such as wrap dress, strapless dress or empire cut dresses are also more risky. It is hard to establish some kind of rules since there are so many types of Jobs. This is just a guide. I am adding this jacket to make the look a little brighter. Anyway, colours such as fuchsia, yellow, orange may be too much. Now that summer is around the corner, we wear camis and tank tops. Try to avoid them when you are at the interview.

Also I want to wish you luck if you are in the middle of a recruitment  process. I am sure you will get the the job!
