Tips on Trendtation by B* a La Moda.
Hi!
Today we are talking about a very special topic. It’s something we refer to in many different ways in different countries. This video is for those of you with a big bust.
LOOK 1
I am wearing a thick bra to try to give the effect that I have a large bust. This shirt has quite a classic cut. The darts down the front and sides help accentuate the waist while being looser at the bust. Make sure that the pleats at the front don't finish high up as your bust will appear larger. Choosing shirts that open a little at the bottom will also help disguise large hips. It’s best to choose longer sleeved tops to avoid attention being drawn to the bust area. Make sure the shoulder seams are right at the shoulders and not lower down the arms. Make sure the shirt closes well and is not stretched out. Getting a shirt made of a more flexible material helps too. Vertical lines are a good choice. t’s best that the top of the skirt is at your waist and not higher up as it creates a box on your upper body. Choose more eye catching skirts to divert attention downwards. Look for a more simple design like this without detailing around the bust area. This cardigan is lightweight which avoids creating more volume.
LOOK 2
This wrap style works very well. It creates space between each breast. An open neckline is much better than a polo or rounded neckline. More closed necklines will create a more contained figure which is not what you're after. But don't go for a really open neckline or you will draw more attention to your bust. This bow also diverts attention away from the bust. These pleats help to make the fit much better. Wearing a cami underneath like this is not good as it breaks the neckline. Now for the blazers. Make sure it is not to small and stretched out at the front. It has a lot of details at the bust which is not good. This blazer is a No. This blazer is a Yes. It’s not too tight at the front. The long V-neck also helps to open up your neckline. The lapels are not too big. As far as the length, it is best just below your bottom or where the ends of you fingers fall. You can also play with accessories to distract attention away from the bust.
LOOK 3
Wrap dresses are a good choice. Imperial cut dresses are also great. Make sure that the bottom of the imperial cut doesn't finish right in the middle of the bust, but underneath. This is a mixture between imperial cut and wrap dress. The cut must finish just below the bust. Go for wider straps. Thin straps show off too much skin and draw attention to the bust area. Make sure that the prints on the dress aren't too focused on the bust.
